*Because I currently do not have my camera with me so I cannot get the photos from the weekend into the blog, I will be analysing the practice photos that I took for last class.

* First of all I would like to state the issues with my photos last class; one, the ground near the studio was too reflective, therefore when I tried to splash water onto the ground, all we could see was the ground, and the reflection on the water is too transparent to be noticed. Two, the space wasn’t big enough to capture the entire person in the photo, the reason being the person needs to be shown in the reality side and also in the reflected side, and if I backed away, then the messy objects in the sides would all be shown, therefore messing up the entire photo. Three, Because I couldn’t use water, I wanted to use the mirror, however the mirror was too skinny so that the person wouldn’t fit it I went too far back.

To solve the issues in class, I decided to alter the theme by a bit just for the experiments. So instead of doing nature vs humanity themes, I decided to do a person vs self theme. So for this theme I’ll have someone sitting in front of a mirror and in the reflection is supposedly something different, like this:

This is what my original idea looks like, now looking at it I feel like it is still a good idea to work on. In the photo is my mom looking into the reflection, looking down, and in the reflection is her but looking in the same direction as the reality side, as if something was above her.

In this photo is also my mom but it reflects like two different side of her, one happy and one sad. Because of serious lighting issues we couldn’t get any photos on the reflection of streets and cities so that’s what I’m going to try to do when we get to 798.
