The title of this project is Fur in Motion. The theme I want to explore is appreciating the things that are constant in our life, like our pets. The message of my project is to look at the little details, like the their eyes and the way their fur curl. I want my audience to feel emotionally connected to the photo and to think of their own pets or loved ones. Pets are obviously cute, but I want my audience to feel something deeper than that, and to truly be able to see them as the things we rely on for joy and comfort. I think that that specifically focusing on the eyes could help to convey those feelings. I will get inspiration and develop my ideas by looking for photographs that blend abstraction and portraiture together, such as the way lines and shapes can be used in the photographs. For inspiration, I hope that I can find photographers who take extreme-close up photographs of their pets, or utilize abstraction techniques to go beyond a simple picture.
