The Ultimate Scooper™ was a truly fascinating invention. It addressed the problem of the sushi, which faced many obstacles when using chopsticks to eat, since the force of the chopsticks could simply crush the sushi. However, with The Ultimate Scooper™, sushi could now be scooped, without the risk of it being damaged.

Divergent Ideas:
In the first part of the project, we were asked to brainstorm diverse ideas. These are three of my best, plus one bonus (abandoned idea). The theme of my designs used to all center around the Sushi Holder, but with some help of the imagination, research, and feedback from my peers, I was able to come up with these novel ideas. the Sushi Holder, as I mentioned, was the first design I came up with. The function of it is simple: open the retractable barrier, shove it into the bottom of the sushi, retract the barrier, and enjoy! The Fries Pincher took a bit more time to come up with. It works just as marketed: apply the pinchers onto your fingers and simply pinch the fries with the spikes. The Noodles Scooper performs similar to the Sushi Holder, but I have decided that a round base and round-edged barriers would work better to scoop noodles. Finally, the more I think of it, perhaps a better name for this abandoned idea would be the Burger Squeezer.
Feedback & Refinement:
The feedbacks I got were not very helpful since they all revolved around two central themes: more divergent ideas and more detailed drawings. However, I did make my refinements according to the feedbacks: I generated more divergent ideas, as shown above, and made the drawings more detailed.
Reflect & Share:
Advantages of my design are that it is easy to use, and that it does not break the sushi. A weakness could be that the sushi could still slide off. The entire utensil is made of stainless steel, since it is durable and cheap to manufacture.
