Context in Photography

Can you take a bad picture?

No, because every picture can express something different, even if it does not conform to certain standards for “normal” photos.

How is context important in Photography? Reference the picture above in your answer. Does the word “Wrong” make a difference? Why?

Context in photography allows us to better understand what this picture is trying to portray and why was it taken like that. For example, in John Baldessari’s picture “Wrong”, he ignores the standard rules for photography and creates something Unique. The reason for this is that Baldessari wanted to tell the message that we should not be overly constrained by these rules, and should improvise when we want. He names his picture “wrong”, because it is imperfect by normal standards but very good if looked at the right way.
