Rule of Thirds:
The picture itself has the character on the right; also with the addition of leading lines, the photo looks imbalanced.
The edited version of the photo edits the problem of the lighting, because some parts of the photo is too bright it affects the clearness of the photo. Editing it into a darker color makes the photo look more clean.
Leading Lines:
The unedited version of the picture is a bit too dark. The character is placed in the middle of the photo showing balance, and the leading lines are the hallway walls. The walls make perfect lines that lead the audience’s vision to the character.
The edited version of this photo solves the lighting issue, it created a brighter center and darkened the edges to make it look more balance.
Symmetry and Patterns:
The unedited photo looks plain. If the lighting of the photo are changed and placed in different angles the photo would look more unique.
So that’s what I did for the edited version. Even though the changes are not obvious, the photo still looks more focused and the patterns on the back are more obvious and darker in color.
Framing:
The uneditied photo looks a bit too dark, I used the whole of the chair to create a frame.
The edited version is a bit brighter, and the photo looks more balanced. This photo gives me a old fashion feeling, probably because of the coloring.
Depth of field:
The lighting and the focus of the unedited photo is unbalanced, the colors look simular and the photo does not give out unique. The character is in the middle of the photo.
After editing, the photo becomes more colorful. The colors are not simular anymore.
Negative Space:
The unedited photo of negative space is plain in color and dark. At the same time, the focus is also a bit off.
The edited version is better with lighting and the balance of the color is adjusted. The focus is also on the character and the edges are darkened, making the entire photo look more clean.
Balance:
The unedited photo does not look the best, it is not that balanced because of the frame outside is not really straight. Leading lines are also shown in this photo such as the cube shaped lines. The lighting is not focused enough on the character, which really effects the overall.
The edited photo fixes most of the issues of the picture. I croped the edges of the photo and created a lighting for the character.
Perspective:
This photo was taken at home. Because of the limited props at home, this photo was created. This photo has weird lighting and weird colors, so I decided to edit it into a black and white photo.
The edited photo looks more balanced, the color and the lighting makes the photo look 3D even though the photo is black and white.
Overall, my favorite photo is the framing one. This is because the framing photo is taken in a really creative way and it really represents framing.
