Abstract photography means, a portion of a natural scene may be isolated in an abstract photograph to obscure the viewer’s comprehension of the scene’s larger context. Capturing images in which the subject isn’t the most interesting element is another way to explain.

  1. I think when the photo is taken, Siskind might be interested with the coloring and the texture of it. The texture of the photo is very strong and also, the picture shows interesting leveled shades.
  2. If I was the photographer, I would name this picture the “hollow night”. Because this picture shows a hollow shape that only has the colors black and white with a round shape in the middle that looks like a moon. The hollow place also has this blackish gray color that makes the photo look like seeing a moon and water in a hollow leaf with the midnight light as the background.
  3. The 7 elements of art (photography) which can be created by overlapping shapes; value, which can be understood using a scale; form, which is only applicable to three-dimensional works of art; texture, which can be real and implied, and color. These help photographers better choose and understand their focus.

photography unedited photos

I have selected these three photo’s because they all have a common that I really like, it is the color of the images and the theme. They are all taken as a grey colored theme, they all have their own focus point and they have different meanings also.

Edited photos

Photos that are edited have a more depressing theme, the main color of the photos have also changed darker and more of a grey color. With the loosing of the warm colors, I added some lighting into the images to make it look brighter. I made sure the lighting is enough to make the pictures brighter, but not change the depression feeling it gives people.
