on my character is Jesús Miguel Santos he was born in Cuba, in the end of the story he fled Cuba to US lived to 84 and died.
The cuban revolution changed Cuba drastically, from being a democracy, to dictatorship, to Communist. Cuba has experienced many changes thought history, that land was still Cuba, but the people, the environment, the economy, it was all different, from an island paradise. to a land of constraint and restrictions. At the beginning of the story, he was pro-Castro and helped fight in the Moncada barracks attack, when he saw his friends die his resolve slowly crumbled, and he was caught arrested let go fled to Mexico came back to Cuba on the granma, when he came back his resolve was stronger. although when the Batista started attacking he grew doubts, when Castro took control of Havana his doubts were strong, he fled around the time of the end of the US embargo on Cuba.

nellie bly goes to NY to be a reporter, but she doesnt find a job and becomes broke. so then she decided to get a job by pretending to be a reporter, then she got a job and then lived a life of a madwomen, to document there troubles and pains... she then travels the world in 70ish days, traversing the globe. she then marries an old rich guy and manages his company.. NELIE BLY a women reporter, with many accomplishments...Nellie Bly the original girl reporter.

The Fun They Had, summative.
on This story by Isaac Asimov is called, The Fun They Had.
It’s set in the future where teachers aren’t humans and they taught at the children’s homes. From what I gathered from this story by Isaac Asimov, the theme is that the future is not always better than the past, with that there are many scenarios for example, the world is destroyed or what not but, in this story, it’s not that intense. The story shows the past, not ours but a future’s past, a future where many things are autonomous, where people are taught at homes, where paper is considered an inconvenience. You can see that paper is to them unnecessary and useless when the boy said “what a waste. When you’re through a (paper) book you just throw it away.” To rephrase the theme, though there may be advancements pushing us into the future, there will always be people who long for what they had before, though the past goes further away with each advancement we make, there will always be someone dreaming of what happened before.
([not part of assessment just want to share something] Fun Fact: this future relies on electronics A LOT and so it’s a fragile civilization, solar winds and whatnot could make this future collapse. Although the earth protects us, it can only do so much, it can’t go against the power of the sun, the solar rays? I think or solar wind, well u can research it, but it can damage electronics, it can destroy them easily, cause massive power outages all over the globe, it has happened before but when we use typewriters and whatnot, although it wasn’t a big one. Also, the sun will grow and swallow up earth so… the far future is bright I guess… bright and as hot as the sun, earth will be swallowed up by the sun, so there are many meanings to the future is bright, so yes, the future is so bright… and very hot.)
{You won’t be alive to see it and many other generations so… yay we won’t be alive to be burnt into a crisp, hooray.}
“Leg of a Lamb”

Once upon a midnight dreary, theres a woman weak and weary.
Pondering over many a quaint and curious forgotten lore
While she nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my house door.
“’Tis my husband,” she muttered, “tapping at my house door, Only this and nothing more.”
She got up from her chair remembering the diner they had, remembering the dinner they will have in the diner on the road.
Ye it was her husband, who was rapping, and he came in with a tapping his shoes quietly tapping, tapping on the marble floor, it was him and nothing more.
She got up to greet him but his face was bleak and dreary so she gave him his whisky.
The man so very weary with a face oh so bleak and dreary drank the cup and drank more.
The wife was worried, her husband doesn’t normally drink that much she she asked him what was wrong.
Then the man told her and it shocked her, her husband ’bout to leave her, he will stay, Nevermore.
In shock she stumbled to the kitchen, she open the fridge and started preparing diner.
The man in anger yelled to not make diner for him, for he will leave her and be with her nevermore.
In rage she held the leg of lamb and swung it down on her husband, her husband nevermore.
His body still siting slumped, he slid to the floor, he will rise nevermore.
The wife now widow went to the store to prepare diner for her husband lying on the floor.
When she came home she feigned surprise and weeping she called the police.
Then they came in twos and threes to look for the weapon of the crime but they found it not.
The wife urged the men to eat the leg of the lamb thus destroying the evidence of the crime she committed.
Now no one will know, no one except the dead forever more.
The conflict in this story is man vs man, there is no internal conflict, people just don’t think “Should i kill him? or Should i not?” when they are filled with rage, after they have killed the person then they start having doubts.
This story is wrote by road dalh, lamb to the slaughter at 1990 or smthn. i used page four to make my mini poem.
