Part 1
I designed the lamp for myself, it helped to solve my lighting at night. Since it’s really hard for me to sleep with, the room is all dark. And thinking of dark, my departure idea was to draw stars and moon on it because it’s the only thing that lights in the dark and my v1 came out
After minor revisions and refinements, I decided to delete the finger design and use wood glue to glue it instead. Because it caused too many times, and it didn’t actually come out well
Part 2
Continuous learning and upskilling are important, especially when it comes to creative pursuits like design. Making mistakes and trying different ideas is an important part of the learning process. By experimenting with different versions of the design, I was able to improve my skills and create a final product that I was happy with. Plus, using the right tools can save a lot of time. Especially the duplication tool, which helps me create multiple copies of the element quickly and efficiently, making it easier to create patterns and designs. By using this tool, I can save time and complete designs more efficiently. Overall, my experience creating star designs shows the importance of creativity and technical skills. By combining these skills and tools, I can create beautiful and unique designs while optimizing my workflow and save time.
part 3
1)What tips, tricks, and advice would you give to the incoming students?
If a process cause you too much time, it means something is definitely is wrong, and you need to think of a back-up plan in order to not waste your time and fall behind
2)What would you, individually, do differently if you could go back and do the class over?
I’ll definitely not be going to waste my time on the fingers again, since I had struggled on it for 3 classes and the result didn’t come well and worse every time. Which come out my the iCloud memory is all occupied and the computer has to be flashed. If I can go back, I will solve the problem straight away
3) What would you (the student) want to be changed about the course, so I (the teacher) can make improvements to the course?
More Feedback/ receiving constructive feedback on students work. Providing actionable and supportive feedback helps students understand how to improve their designs and further develop their skills, so they won’t struggle and fall behind.
