My Capstone video is about the issue of world hunger and its adverse effects it can have on people. However, it is possible to help stop world hunger in a variety of different ways and improve the future. My video hopes to educate people on this and make them take action by donating money or helping to stop hunger.

After the revolution, many things changed. For example, Obregon, who was the president after the Mexican Revolution, retained presidency for 8 years. Compared to presidents like Madero and Huerta who were presidents during the revolution, they only served for about a year, that was a pretty big leap. Also, Obregon returned stolen land to peasants, improved their working conditions, and didn’t rule by extreme force, compared to Diaz who did exactly the opposite-he made working conditions harsh, took peasants’ land for his own benefit, and killed anyone who opposed him.
In contrast, things also stayed the same. For example, presidents still tried to force who they wanted as president. During the revolution, Carranza tried to force his successor as president, which caused Obregon to retaliate, winning the battle and becoming president. However, four years later, Obregon wanted Calles to become president, but de la Huerta also wanted to run for president, and in the end Obregon won the battle, making Calles president.
To add on, important people in the revolutionaries were still assassinated after the revolution. For example, during the revolution in 1919, Zapata was assassinated through a betrayal from Carranza’s army. Similarly, after the revolution in 1923, Obregon ordered Pancho Villa to be gunned down in his car.
A revolution was stirred up when the president of Mexico, Porforio Diaz, refused to give up his presidency despite saying so. Many people hated him and wanted to replace him with someone new, which succeeded. It seemed like the revolution However, this wasn’t the case. From wanting to divide land equally to create a new type of government, many revolutionary leaders had different ideas. This led to many bloody battles from them to fight for what they each wanted and how in the end the Mexican Revolution finally ended.
All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys Soccer Team, written by Christina Soontornvat describes how thirteen boys and their coach were rescued. The books takes place in Thailand, near and inside the Tham Luang Cave. In this book, thirteen boys and their coach explore a cave which soon floods, trapping them. As a result, many rescuers are determined and try to free them from the cave. The boys might be found, but will they make it out alive? Two themes that I found in my book are that the courage to live is sometimes the key to survival and beauty can be dangerous.
My first theme I found describes how something that is beautiful, attractive, and sometimes seemingly harmless can be dangerous but have danger that can bring severe consequences, and it is shown many times in the book.
My first central idea I found was that people were being very generous to help rescue the boys from the cave, coming from many different places and backgrounds, and is shown throughout the book.
The second theme I found was that the courage to survive even in uncomfortable conditions is better than not having hope at all, and the boys experience this inside the cave.
The argument that I could make was that people in tough situations should use mental strength and physical strength, and is evident in the book as the boys try to stay alive and rescuers try to save them.
In conclusion, you should read the book, as it is very interesting. Thank you!

The found poem I chose was taken by the book Lather and Nothing Else by Hernando Tellez. The conflict it shows is man vs. self conflict between the barber, the protagonist and himself, the antagonist. The conflict in the story is the barber shaving Captain Torres, and deciding whether to kill him or not, since he is an enemy of the barber’s people. In the excerpt of the story, Captain Torres enters his shop to get a shave, and struggling to decide whether to kill him or not. The barber is depicted in this passage as nervous and scared, but ultimately makes the decision to spare him since he thinks to himself, “But I don’t want to be a murderer… You came in to be shaved. And I do my work honorably…You are an executioner; I am a barber. Each one to his job.” (Tellez, 41) The conflict was resolved, but maybe in the future when they meet again the barber might have different thoughts.
