“If there is no justice for the people, let there be no peace for the government”

The Mexican Revolution (1910–1920) was a war that wanted to get rid of the ruler Porfirio Díaz. Many different groups and leaders, like Francisco I. Madero, Emiliano Zapata, and Pancho Villa, joined together to fight for fairness and new politics. The revolution created the Mexican Constitution of 1917 and changed Mexican history a lot. It had a big effect on society and caused a lot of changes later on.

Am l a humanist?

The infographic indicates that I as humanist 90% I have given individualism a perfect score to begin with. During the Renaissance, humanists believed everyone should be free to live their own lives without being limited. I agree and think that one of the main explanations why people in the Renaissance were able to discover who they really were inside was individualism. Furthermore, I wouldn’t want to take on control over someone who has less authority over me.

For education, also gets a 100%. I agree and believe that because of education, we get new information and greater comprehension of the world. A community with higher levels of education is probably more welcoming and accepting of other people’s viewpoints and backgrounds. They are more likely to be helpful to our society, allowing us to achieve similar goals.

Secularism and religion problems are somehow similar, I rated them both 80%. It’s important that people should appreciate everyday life and work to improve society, and I agree that people shouldn’t just concentrate on God and try to understand each other better. Without achieving a balance between our religious beliefs and daily lives, we would only think simply and our society would never develop into what it is now.

In conclusion, Renaissance civilization would not have grown as much as it did at the period without these 4 components, thanks to all humanist on improving our society and making great changes.

Barber

What barbers do when they cut our hair.
.

Above is my Canva project found poem, in which I used the idea from Wendy’s commercial of an angel and devil standing on the shoulders, thinking that the angel represents the barber’s kindness and thoughts on not killing the man, and the devil represents the barber’s desire to kill his enemy. I also used a worried man’s face image to show that the barber is having difficulty deciding whether or not to kill the man.   “Lather and Nothing Else” written by Hernando Tellez was the short story I used to compose my found poem  above. Using words and sentences from pages 1, 3, and 4. It shows person vs self conflict, in this case, the barber “I” serves as both the protagonist and antagonist, where he must decide between killing the man (his enemy) or letting him live, which also makes it an internal conflict. The beginning of the story, is when his enemy came in the shop for a shave, and they started to have interactions, the rising action is when the barber starts to think about some of the sins the man has done, the climax is how “I” start to think about killing him and how to kill him, but also doesn’t want to become a murderer. The falling action is when the barber Figured out that he doesn’t want to stain blood on his hands and just wanted to do his work as a barber honored and properly. Some of the best words I thought and added to my poem was  “He deserves , Or does he.?” And “I could cut his throat,” ,“But I don’t want to be  murderer. ” to really demonstrate what internal conflict would look like in this short story.
