The amazing story of how two student’s homework turned into a multi-billion-dollar corporation is laid out in the book Google It by Anna Crowley Redding. This book starts in 1995, and follows the story of two bright Stanford students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, as they join forces to work on a life changing piece of homework. As the story goes along, Larry Page and Sergey Brin face many tough choices, choices between getting a PHD and dropping the chance to get a PHD to start a company, as well as great successes, that have pushed these two friends help Google become what it is today. I found this book very interesting, because it gave me some insight into how these multi-billion-dollar companies became what they are today. Many parts of Google’s journey really surprised me, and I think they will surprise you too.
