A Colonial Chronicle of American Independence

This story takes place in the American Revolution from 1767 to 1783. Embark on John Anderson’s journey from a merchant to an American soldier as you go through the era of the American revolution. He evolves from a humble businessmen into a courageous patriot fighting for liberty. His narrative provides a perspective of an ordinary man navigating through the changes in the early America.

The American Revolution had significant global impacts, despite their continuity and changes within the United States. While power still remained concentrated on wealthy white men, there were still slavery in the south. Also the separation of churches and states stayed the same. The revolution still brought notable changes, including the allowance for land expansion, and the fact that sons and daughters had the right to inherit property.

Are you a Renaissance humanist?

Humanism is a philosophical position that emphasizes individual and social potential and the agency of the human being, which sees the human being as the starting point for serious moral and philosophical inquiry.

According to the infographic, I identify myself as 97.98 percent humanists. To start off, I have rated Individualism 99 percent. Humanists during the Renaissance believed that all human beings should have the right to control their own lives instead of being restricted to liberty by beliefs. I agree with this and believe that individualism was one of the main causes for people during the Renaissance to find their true inner self. In modern society, this belief is widespread all over the world which made a positive impact, people have the opportunity and right to choose their own future paths. In contrast, during the time period before the renaissance, people often get brainwashed by the information society transfers
. Personally, I would prefer to have the right to choose what I want. For example, choosing an enrichment or elective at school, I wouldn’t choose a specific course that the gods like, but I won’t be labeled as “sinful” because of breaking the gods’ rules.)

I have rated Individual achievement 97 percent; I agree with the statement that people can’t identify others with colored glasses because of their class or the status they were born in. But I believe that this is still occurring in our modern world, some communities are still facing problems like microaggression and discriminations because of their Identity and race. The feudal hierarchy exists but, in another form, and way.

For me, secularism, curiosity, and valued educations are basically the same. It’s the elements that contributed to life before now and probably the future. Overall, I am a humanist because of the endorsement of their beliefs.
