I think the artist wanted to capture shapes, value/tones, and texture.

If I were the photographer, I would name this “Naked” because, to me, the way this pepper is captured looks like a person crouched, back arched. Through this title, I aimed to convey the noema of frustration and emptiness embedded in the subject.
