compositionally simple, main focus is on the tip of the vine
i increased the contrast between the red and the green by editing the image
the texture of the bricks is repeated, forming a background against the distinct green vine
mostly conveys that nature and life can grow even in industrial settings
tricolor brick wall
If I could I would have preserved yellow color of the wood
I edited the bricks to be more red to contrast with the vibrant blue color. I didn’t have time to edit but otherwise I would make the wood yellow, having 3 primary colors
the contrast in texture between the bricks, the rough blue wall, and the smooth wood
purposefully chose the composition to be about 1/2 blue, 1/4 brick, and 1/4th wood
shiny metallic pipes in contrast to the industrial brick wall
If I could I would keep the reflection on the bright area of the pipes but I couldn’t figure it out while keeping the rest of the image brighter
I made the bricks more red to play into people’s expectations of brick color
compositionally I tried to use the rule of thirds but the pipes may be a bit too central
reflections
for this image, I kept a simple composition, keeping the plant in the center
in post, I edited the colors, making the shadows and lighting more distinct. I also brightened the leaf to draw focus away from the cluttered background. Finally, I slightly blurred the edges, further directing attention to the leaf
message: even in settings that may be unfamiliar and hostile, you can thrive
