Am I A HUMANIST by ALICE BAEK [STUDENT]

Humanism is an idea in which humans are at the center regardless of religion or God. According to the key elements of humanism in my infographic, I am 85% humanist. I agree with the basic concept of humanism. Among them, I strongly agree with the social standing of individualism. I believe that everyone, no matter their status, should be treated equally, prizing individual achievement more than classes or families. Also, I agree with the idea about studying humanities. Humanity is a subject where we learn about human life and culture, which is basically about humanism. However, the reason for excluding 15% is that I don’t understand the way humanists thought that people must use their mind to answer every questions. In my opinion, we should use our mind or thoughts to questions, but not all. I think I’m just in the middle of the idea with the catholic church and humanists. Overall, I am 85% humanist.
