RescueTime is an app that tracks time spent on different sites and apps as you use your computer. It is available for installation through Self Service and requires you to create an account. There is a free version that can be used by schools and students. There are also paid options that will give you deeper insight if you feel that is necessary.

RescueTime is an opportunity for users to gain self-awareness of their own technology habits and to help them understand how productive (or not!) the time the spend on their laptop is. By default, RT will categorize website usage as productive or distracting. This can be fine-tuned be each user, depending on their own needs.

RescueTime is not designed to be a 3rd party monitor of activity. Users can stop collecting data at any time. It is intended for use by those who are interested in understanding and improving their own habits.
