This found poem was taken from page 4 of the Story “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” by W.D Wetherell. It is a man vs. self conflict, where the narrator is being torn apart by the two choices, Sheila Mant and probably the largest largemouth bass he’s ever hooked. In a man vs. self conflict, the conflict takes place within the mind of the main character, and often involves the character making a decision between right and wrong, or other mixed emotions.
