- Does the function of the lamp meet your needs?
I think that it is a bit small and may not fit the “minimalistic” aesthetic because it may not produce a large amount of light, making it necessary to have more than 1.
- Is there anything about the lamp that doesn’t make sense?
I am curious about why such a large box at the bottom is necessary. I understand that you are trying to have a boxy design, but I personally believe that there may have been more light-efficient designs with a boxy design (ie. a box with folding/sliding sides that act like blinds)
What I wanted the light to be concentrated in one place. The big box is for protection and if the box has holes in it, it will look pretty in design, but if the light is extended to many places, it will be disturbed when studying and if the light is focused on one place, it can be also used as a flashlight in the dark place during traveling.
- What does the form of the lamp make you think of, feel, wonder about?
I like the form of the design where you can close the top of the lamp to limit the light output.
suggestions: I think that finding a way to have more light output opportunities (more clear bits) with the same volume.
Actually, that was my first design, which is made out of full-plastic with the shape of cactus. I tried to catch both concepts of nature and minimalism, however, it is almost impossible to make a round shape plastic, and I thought the lamp will easily get broke, especially the design of the thorn of the cactus. what I really focused on is travel, so I resolutely give up the concept of nature and focus on convenience and portability.
