What I did well was coming prepared for the Socratic Seminar. I had annotated each chapter carefully picking out pieces of information that linked with other parts of the novel. I attempted to keep the discussion moving, however, there were a few times when I was unable to contribute to the conversation. What I still need to work on for the next Socratic Seminar would be to involve the other participants in the discussion more often. Instead of asking for their opinions, I stayed silent which I should not do in the future. My goals for next time would be to use more formal language and not use filler words, and to include others more often. To achieve the first goal, I will prepare my answers in a detailed way in advance, and to achieve my second goal, I will not take over the discussion and I will call on others to contribute their opinions.
