Apartment Design

Dear Daniel Poon,

Thank you for working with me on our habitat design.

One of the places where this habitat connects to my story is the quarter circle lab in the main character’s apartment. For example, the quarter circle lab is when Zhao Xin and his team created a method of human grown meat after a lot of hard effort.Thanks for helping me include this space in our project!

As a team, I’ve been impressed with our ability to share responsibilities. For example, when we are designing the basic elements of our apartment on Tinkercad we shared the work together, we decided on which room should you do and I do, and you gathered the decorations while I calculated the dimensions in scale factor of 100. That was very helpful!

When we worked as a team, I wish we could have been better at building on each other’s idea.I think this is important because it will help us improve our thinking and design idea at the same time. One thing we can do is to put forward more ideas and we should build on each other’s opinion.

Will Zhao – stationary phone case

My biggest success was that the phone and stationaries can fit in my case.

My biggest obstacle was to design the curb part on the front of the phone.

Two thing I would like to improve is to add more decoration on my case, and made some room for my magnets to stick in.

Over all, I think my design is successful because my phone can fit inside and all the functions are easily accessible.

Blog Post–Exit ticket

I notice a pattern in my Math exit ticket, If I have to do an exit ticket quickly I sometimes is going to make silly mistakes, but if I were to do my exit ticket before class start, or I’m not going to be late for class I usually can do it correctly. This made think about what I should do from now on to improve, I should answer my questions slower to improve accuracy.

For humanity I notice that, when I am planning my scifi story, my theme and my story match, which means I have a logical story and strong claim, Looking to next week I wander when do we have complete our draft.

Self Driving Question Reflection

Looking back on Project Self, I learned that making decisions as a community, it is not possible for everyone to be happy with the decision. Because the community will make final decisions based on votes, so the topic that have the most votes will be approved. Even if you don’t agree with the majority of community you can’t do anything. For example, When Mr. Q announced the tech proposal voting result, the decisions have already been made. Even if I don’t agree with some of the results, I can do nothing with it, I have nothing to argue about anymore.

Looking back on Project Self, I realize that making good choices is difficult, because when you are actually making a good decision, you must sacrifice some fun. Before teachers are making choices for us, so it wasn’t really making choices by our self, it was just behaving well when the teacher has already made choices for us.

After Teddy solved the first case That had happened in Funjungle – Teddy solved Henry the hippo’s murder with Summer, who is the daughter of the owner of Funjungle (Teddy’s parent work at Funjungle). Everything went as usual, he got bullied by his school mate Vance (meanest bully in the school). Until…The new Koala, Kazoo – the most popular animal in the zoo, went missing. And Marge, the head of the security department thought Teddy did it. Because the day before they found out that Kazoo was missing, Teddy caused a chaos in the Shark Odyssey – one of the hydroid display sections, This is all because Vance forced Teddy to put a fake human arm into the shark tank, and got caught red handed by Marge. Teddy tried to explain, but no one believed him, so he had no choice but to run away and hide, Meanwhile, he was at Kazoo’s merchant area. He still didn’t throw the securities off, so he suddenly came up with a crazy idea: TO HIDE IN KAZOO’S HABITATS. Lucky enough he got away with Marge and her security guards, unfortunately, he still got caught by the CCTV camera, with his huge school pack, which made people think he stuffed the koala inside. As the story continues, Teddy not only have to find out who really stole
Kazoo, he also has worry about not getting caught by Marge. Read on to solve the case with Teddy Fitzroy.

Self Management Learning Asset

Looking over all my ratings I think an area of is researching, I seek for more informations to make my piece more persuasive, For example, in class I search for specific facts rather than a broad topic. And looking over my ratings I think the part that I can work on is Self Management, to improve on this part, one small thing I can start doing is stop talking to my friends during class, and if I really need to say something, I will just summarize it into one or two short sentence, then go back to work.

When you truly understanding a piece of information, It means that you can define it and this will take a lot of repeated reading. looking back on Project Self, I learned that to truly understanding a piece of information requires many times of reading, and evaluation. For example, I am reading an article for my tech proposal. If I didn’t get enough information the first time, I would read the article another time until I think I got all the information I need. Then I have to form my own explanations for the concepts that I had just learned.

Project Self helped me realize that making connections is also an important part in an article, As I continue learning in the future, I will make more direct connections with my audiences.

No Device Device

This is the Exercise Exchange Lock, how this work is that once you put your phone in the phone case will automatically lock it, so you can’t open it until you did some exercise. There will be four buttons and a screen on the phone case, The screen will display the goal you set for yourself, and the two triangle button will let adjust the goal setting. Last there will be a power button and a start button.

Product design project: Reduce food waste

One thing I’d like to change is to make my product cleaner and more creative.

My biggest obstacle was to cut my pieces into the same size.

Overall, I think this product is successful because It’ s pretty detailed, even though it’s not neat and hot glue is leaking out form every corner, but since this is my first time doing product design I think I did a pretty decent job on this project.
