There were four things that had to be included in my air cannon product: a resilient material, a fabric that did not leak air, a handle, and a barrel. Once I knew what the product needed, I first conceptualized the dimensions of my product, determined the exact size of the interior items needed, and identified which items I should use.

In my opinion, my product was a success and a failure. It was made exactly as I conceived it, without any deviations, and almost exactly as I designed it. There is no doubt that as a creation it is a success, but as a design, it is a failure. Although I created it perfectly according to the design, it was not flexible enough to effectively achieve no air leakage due to the choice of materials and the location of the design, with the consequence that it had very low power.

I say it conforms to the design because both the handle, the spring rope, and the fabric aspect were assembled strictly according to my initial measurements. And it does demonstrate the process of converting elasticity into kinetic energy, even though the force it can convert is very small.

I think the wooden handle I made is the one I’m most proud of. Every step of creating it was done perfectly – the design, the measurements, the assembly and the actual result – and it fits perfectly as an air cannon handle. The most challenging part of the process was putting each of the pieces together: wood, plastic, string, and fabric. I think it was a success!

Purpose: This toy is called air cannon, and it is for children to play with. It sounds very dangerous but it can’t make any harm to the human body, because the things “cannon” shots are only air. So this toy is a cool toy for children that are able to “shoot” air.

Environmental Impact: It does not cause any waste to work, the energy it needs is only chemical, which is from the people who use it, so it does not impact the environment.

Precedents: On Youtube, I had see multiple designs that matter with energy transformation. The reason I choose the air cannon from those multiple designs is that it had shown up in the animation, Doraemon I look when I was a child.

Creative: In this product making I do not have my original element because on the internet there are detailed production tutorials, but on creative the most material need me to process and splice, all of them are raw materials.
