Pizza Box That Keeps Your Pizza Warm-Design Prototype

Over the course of this project, I decided to create a pizza box that would heat and keep your pizza warm. Since I order pizza often, I know that the pizza often gets cold when it arrived. To fix this problem, I created a box that would ensure that the customer would get fresh hot pizza. I wrapped the pizza box with tin foil and I plan to add heaters inside the box for the actual design. My biggest success for this project was being able to create this prototype with the limited materials I had. Skills I’ve learned while making this is to make different sketches and plans. Overall, I think my prototype was successful because it works and it can keep your pizza warm. Something I’d like the change about this prototype next time is that I would make the pizza box bigger.

My Bluetooth Speaker: Mid-Century Modern

This is my final bluetooth speaker:

In this design, I used the design aesthetic mid-century modern. In this course we learned a lot about mid-century modern so I decided to utilize it in this design.

What did you struggle with most during this project?

Over the course, I was successful during most part of the project. However I ran into a few technical problems when I was printing the design. When I submitted the design there were a few errors that I had to fix enable for the design to print. Overall, I am proud of my work during this project.

What’s a skill you learned or improved on over the course of this project?

During this project, I learned to create designs with Affinity Designer. I learned to create shapes and learned to use tools in the App. I also improved on staining wood in this class. I have learned to stain wood previously in woodworking. In this course, I improved on staining when I learned to stain more neater.

What aspect of this project are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of making this design on Affinity Designer. I worked hard on the design, and it took me over 4 classes to finish.

Sewable Electronics Project-Circuit

The Planning

My Original Plan:

My original plan was to make a roulette game where you bet on a number from 1 to 5, and if you get the same number you bet on after spinning the wheel you win. My design also had 2 LEDs that indicated if you win or lose. The background was a 12 by 6 cm felt. Afterwards, I had to change the background to 15 by 10 cm because my design could not fit in the first design. I also had to change the pins that were attached to the LED because the circuit playground express was sewn in the wrong direction

After That This was My New Design:

The Process

Step 1: sewing

I sewn The LEDs to the corresponding pin, and it works. It took around 2 classes or 150 minutes. Sewing wasn’t as hard for me compared to the first project.

Step 2: Coding

The Coding was easy for me; I was able to finish it in less than 40 minutes. I set 2 variables in my code named  win number and pick number. Pick number is the number you pick. Win number is automatically chosen for you. If you get the same pick number as win number, you win, and the lights turn green

The Final Product

Over the course, I learned to sew better. I was able to sew more efficiently, and I didn’t get frustrated when I made a mistake. I would say that everything went well for me this time for sewing. I’m glad that I was able finish it on time. If I will do this project again, next time I would try to design the game so it’s more visually appealing.

While making this project, we faced many challenges. One of the biggest obstacles is cutting the cardboard. It was not because it was hard to cut, it was because of the time limit that we have. We spent the first three classes just cutting cardboard. Then we realized that we were too slow, so one thing I want to change would be working faster. Later on, in the last few classes, we have decided to work faster. If we were to do it again, we would color our game. overall, our game went pretty smooth.
