My book was “Ghost” by Jason Reynolds. A theme present in the book is family. A lot of choices and actions that Castle Cranshaw (Ghost is his nickname) makes are influenced by the people around him. There are many examples of family in my book, whether it’s his relationship with the owner of a corner store, or his track team coach (who is like a father figure to him). His coach helps him through very tough situations and also assists him in finding his passion, which is running.
