This found poem was created with the words of “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” by W. D. Wetherell. I wanted to start my found poem with the beginning of the conflict and do the explaining with showing instead of telling. I wanted to show how the main character regrets his decision with the words haunted me. The type of conflict in this found poem is internal conflict, whether he should get the girl or get the fish. I tried to show his conflict by using the words” miraculously, the bass was still on,” and “the tug was too much for me.”
