During this project, I am going to use the color scheme to color my artwork. I am also going to use warm color, cold color, and even some pastel colors to my artwork. I might also blend the colors together to make another new color.

I chose Kandinsky’s painting for my artist inspiration, because I liked how his paintings have various bright colors and different shapes.
One thing I learned about Kandinsky is that he was highly influenced by painters like Claude Monet as well as music composers and philosophers. Second thing I learned is that Kandinsky’s early paintings were landscapes that were heavily influenced by Impressionist artists as well as Pointillism and Fauvism. Last thingĀ I learned about Kandinsky is that Kandinsky changed his career late, when he was 30.
One problem I faced during painting was when I was painting the brown branches in the door. The branches are supposed to be very thin, but when I was actually painting them, it was very difficult. If I put too much paint in the brush, the brush was too hard and not smooth to draw thin lines, and if I put too much water, the paint started to blend. So to solve that problem, I first dipped the brush in the water cup, and kind of dry it using paper and dipped it into the paint and then paint the branches.
I don’t know if this is a technique, but when I was painting my art work, I tried to show the bumpy texture. To make it bumpy, I dipped the brush into the paint and got a lot of paint on my brush. Then, IĀ started from painting small proportion (If I colored it in big places, I would get smooth texture). Sometimes, when I did not like the color, I colored other color on the top to cover the color that I didn’t like. That gave my artwork to have more bumpy textures.

Third pic: What it is going to look in the final (plan)
I used acrylic paint and markers in this artwork (I combined two medias together). In the second artwork, I used watercolor paint and marker. I decided to use acrylic paint for my final artwork, because I thought the watercolor paint doesn’t really fit in to my theme. (It blends and I don’t want the blending). Also, instead of making the background flower (my original idea), I decided to change into a night sky, also the flower’s color (yellow-blue/purple).
(My second artwork is missing because my photo-booth has some problem.)
