Fighting for Tierra Y Libertad

As Antonio’s father died when he was three years old, he was brought up by his mother and his brother. Antonio was a young teenage boy who lived in a poor family, they couldn’t eat three meals a day. After growing up, Antonio becomes a Potato farmer but in 1910 as the peasants in Mexico began a rebellion against Diaz, he joined the army too.

In Conclusion, I believe the revolution was worth it. Firstly, the revolution’s point can be concluded with two words, Liberty and Land Reform. The revolution was for freedom of the Mexicans from Diaz, a dictator who focused on helping rich people getting richer, rather than helping peasants. But what Diaz doesn’t know is, Over 90% of the country are Peasants. Therefore, there was a rebellion led by Madero that happened in 1910. The second was land reform for the peasants. Land reform were the land that was originally from Peasants. Down below is my Microsoft Sway of my journal it talks about a life of a Mexican during the Mexico Revolution. After Obregon taking over Mexican, Mexico finally begins to go on the right path. Obregon promoted public education and industrial growth. The peasants also got their land back, isn’t that what the revolution was for?

Land and Liberty

In this revolution unit, I chose the Mexican Revolution because i don’t know too much about the Mexican revolution and i was pretty eager to learn something i didn’t know since i’ve studied about revolutions in France and United States. Our task was to create a video similar to the format in Plain English, I worked with Sophie and Mia and we explained some of the main events in the Mexican Revolution, such as the different presidents that were elected and the major plans created. Overall, we believe we did a pretty good job, we had each of the video with each person reading it connected greatly, The audio matched the video and we added background music, which made it even more attracting and interesting.
