Crossbow

Define and Inquire

I will make a cotton ball crossbow, giving an example of kinetic energy.

Pros

  • The ammo I will use is soft, so people won’t get hurt if somebody accidentally shoots them.
  • It will be fun to make and use

Cons

  • It might cause some injury if not used properly
  • It could possibly be challenging to manufacture
    Develop and Plan

    Materials

    • List the materials and tools needed.
    • Hot glue
    • Plastic tube
    • String
    • Stick
    • Thin wood board

What I did on what day

    • Day 1: I will cut out the extended parts of the crossbow.
    • Day 2: I will cut up a plastic tube for the barrel.
    • Day 3: I will glue it together and make a slit for the trigger.
    • Day 4: Today, I will make the trigger and glue it in.
    • Day 5: Today, I will make the handle.

    I successfully made a crossbow.

Create and Improve

The structure of the crossbow is excellent, and it functions just fine, but I think it would work better if I had a larger trigger and maybe should’ve sanded the front handle first. Overall, I would say that I successfully made a crossbow.

Welcome to Your New Blog!

When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
