The Mexican revolution

The Mexican revolution started during 1910 to 1920, to over thrown the dictator Diaz, and to let the people of Mexico get their land back, and for them to have political justice. In ten years, Mexico changed five leaders, which are Porfirio Diaz, Francisco Madero, Victoriano Huerta, Venustiano Carranza, and Alvaro Obregón. Our video gives a brief explanation of the whole revolution, Enjoy the Video by Ruby Jian and Angelina Hua.

Cards and Claps

I edited this media with Canva

The words in “The Fan Club” written by Rona Maynard were used in this found poem. In this short story, Laura faces a challenge within herself which is whether to join the Hortensky fan club or not. On one side she wants to stand out for Rachel because she felt sorry for Rachel because people always laugh at her because of what she wears and her family background. On the other side she wants to fit in with the popular kids and because she will get bullied with Rachel if she helps her. “Laura stared at the card, looked from Rachel’s red, frightened face, Diane’s mocking smile, picked up the car and pinned it to her sweater.” I picked this part to be in my found poem because this part shows Laura facing a challenge within herself and choosing whether to join the Hortensky fan club or not.

My Pet House

This is the pet house that I designed for my needy pet, (which I don’t have) my biggest obstacle in this project is the arch on the front side, (the door) it was very hard to cut and it took a long time too cut, but I finally cut the arch out and I was happy with the result. If I did this again, one thing I would do differently is I would change the roof to a bed, this pet house is too low for the pet to be aside with me, so I would add a stair and the pet could be in the same level of height and we could be together.

My cardboard arcade

This is a picture of the beautiful arcade that me and my partner made in design class, one thing that I’d like to change in this arcade is the color, the color is kind of ugly and not appealing, and we should make the arcade harder since someone said it’s too easy.

One piece of advice I would give a future student doing this project is, that make this project challenging and colorful to make the players get interested , but not too challenging, because the students playing this arcade is forth graders, if the game is too hard, they’ll lose interest and stop playing your game.

Overall, I think the product is successful because we had 9 customers playing it and I think that is very good for me, because at the start, I thought nobody was going to play our game but at the end, 9 people at total people played our game!
