My half life during the revolution

My character calls Dulsie, and at the beginning of the revolution, she was just ten years old, she lived in Mexico City with her father, mother, and older brother. During the revolution, her father lost an arm, and she also lost her brother because her brother died in the fight. After the revolution ended in 1940, she was already forty years old.

I believe that the Mexican revolution is a successful revolution because although the people were hurt during the revolution, such as the war or fight caused by the presidential election, many innocent people were injured and died. However, during the revolution, many good changes have taken place in Mexico, such as Obregon improving Mexican education, or some other presidents reforming policies. The most important result is that Cardenas revived Mexico and improved many facilities. This revolution has indeed brought progress and revival to Mexico.

Mexican most important revolution happened from 1910 to 1940, Started with Medero writing the La sucesión presidential en 1910, and end at Cardenas left the presidency. Mexican Revolution was caused by the unequal distribution of land, deeply entrenched economic inequality, and undemocratic institutions.  Sabrina and I made a video to introduce the revolution.  In the video, we have the main leaders: Madero, Huerta, Obregon, and Cardenas. We also include some important events, like the ten tragic days.

At first, we draw different pictures for different events, and then we started to record and connect them in the video, That process is hard because we have to record again and again to make sure the video is perfect. And at last, we edit all videos together and add music, which is used for 2 days.

And during work with my partner, I learn more about teamwork, like how to separate the work, and how to record the video together, like one person record and another putting the draw on the table. And I also learn some edit stuff and recording.

Economy attention and Organizing time

Economy attention and Organizing time

To ISB grade 8 students:

Let me introduce Economy attention and tell you how to organize your time today.

Economy attention is that media companies will earn money like advertising dollars on your attention in social media, more attention means you have more chance to click on the advertisement. More watch time also allows these media to know about what you like and give you the advertisement that you might like.

L

Organizing your time has many ways. For me the most important is you can create a time schedule, like certain which time to do which things. You have to first draw a table and put the specific time in the first box, and write each thing you’re going to do in the second box. For example, at 7:00 wake up and at 8:00 go the school, and after school 4:00 to 6:00 write two hour homework then have 1 hour of free time. The schedule can avoid you don’t know what to do and just starting to play video games after school until night, then you have no time to study. If you have a schedule, you will know the time you have to do which things, so you can finish your work early and have free time to play, you can do more things than no time schedule.

That is what economy attention is and how to organize your time, I hope that helps you.

Good luck

Trapped Reading Notes(central idea, theme, and social issues)

My book is called“Trapped”, written by Marc Aronson. The book talks about how 708000 tons of rock came crashing down, and seal 33 miners 2300 feet underground, the whole world helped and keep rescued them, and they finally get rescued from the mine. The mine’s central ideas are hope and work hard, and this is also the most important reason why they can be rescued from the mine that has 2300 feet deep from the land.

This is the first note after I read my book, these three chapters explain the cause of the trapped, so many miners get stuck under the mine. the chapter informs some scientific theories, like the shifting continents, which causes the trapped of the mine. Chapter 2 also describes the environment under the mine, it is dark, can’t see anything, and no food. So the central idea and the issue I think is the cause of the trap, how miners are alive under the terrible environment, and how people rescue them.

The second note I write is the middle of the story, it is all about hope, the hope from the miner, the hope from the rescue worker, and hope from their family. Because everyone has hope, so everyone works hard, and finally, they find the resolution and try that, and they find the miner.

This page of note is talking about how they give the food to the miner and keep rescuing them because they already find the miners, but they still can’t let them out, so they send them some food and medicines to them to keep them alive. This part is talking about some preparation work before finally rescuing.

The last page of note is talking about all the miner is rescued and they go home, rescue workers finally succeed, and it is an example for the world, hope let they succeed, hope let the miners survive, and hopefully, let the workers rescue the miners out, I think the theme of the book is that keep hope when you in a disaster.

Humanism infographic

I am 80%humanism. Because I agree that each person is an independent individual and can choose their own life. I also believe that humans should enjoy life and carefully evaluate their balance between religion and life. At the same time, I believe that present life is more important than the “afterlife”. However, the other 20% I disagree with humanism because I think people must create some new ideas and find new things, and not continuously improving and using the ancient ideas from ancient greek, Latin or roman culture. I believe that humans should express creativity and find new concepts and ideas.

The shell

I choose paragraphs 46-62 of the story “The Fan Club”, written by Rona Maynard. The paragraphs are at the Climax and the falling action. The conflict is about a girl named Rachel who was bullied by some mean person, so it is person versus person, Rachel vs the mean people. At first, Rachel has a speech about shells, she puts her shells into a box, so she can show her shells when she speaks. But her shells all slip to the ground, and she hurries to pick up the shells on the floor. No one helped her. After class, everyone is laughing at her, they make fun of her, whisper, and make some funny clapping. Rachel feels very scared, she doesn’t know why others bullied her, she just wants to share her shells. When I write the poem, I use two-part to show the conflict. First I explain the cause of the story (Rachel’s shells slip out), then I describe how others bullied and abused her.

Welcome to Your New Blog!

When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
