This is my cardboard arcade for my design project. I had many struggles and successes but most of all it was such an exciting and fun experience. First of all, there were a lot of successes. One of them were that we were able to find a game which can be fun for both genders. Also it was also good that none of the parts were broken during the time the 4th graders came. More over, we successfully gave the 4th graders a fun time playing our awesome cardboard arcade game. Lastly, since we had creative ideas and  went for it the whole time and even though we had difficulties on some time,  we were able to make a nearly perfect game for the 4th graders

We were able to make a successful game. However, we had struggles we had to overcome. First of all, we made a penalty shoot out using rubber band and very weak toothpicks. So, it was very fragile and we tried several times to make it work. The rubber band kept  breaking and the toothpicks were breaking too. However, we didn’t give up and went for the idea we had from the beginning till now. Since we had pride and never gave up, it was possible to make a game that everyone could enjoy.

During the design period for me, I have experience a lot of skills. First of all, I learned how to safely use the hot glue gun, knife, and many others. I learned to always cut things under the cutting mat and to always stable the glue gun somewhere else than on the table or the ground. Also I learned that materials used in design can be a lot dangerous than anyone could ever think of. Mr. Layman told us stories about his past experience to let us know how dangerous the materials were. So he also helped develop knowledge of the materials.
