Cuban Revolution Journal

What changed and what did not:

Changes: Fidel Castro was able to fix the laws and tried to benefit majority of people, but not benefiting only individuals with more money. He reformed the new agrarian law and satisfied over 2 million citizens of Cuba. Compared to Batista, Fidel Castro was trying to care all the citizens of Cuba, not just worried about Cuban riches and products from other country.

What did not change: there were some laws that could not be changed because it was too harmful for some individuals or it damages other country and it could cause bad relationship with allied country. Most importantly, there were oppositions to Fidel Castro just as there were oppositions to Batista, which feels like another cycle repeating.

Poem

Where the story comes from: The story comes from “Tuesday of the other June”, I got the quotes from page 3, the paragraph about June having bad dreams of beating up other June.

About author&title: The name of the story is “Tuesday of the other June”, by Norma Fox Mazer.

The concept of the poem: The concept of the poem is to show June is having hard time in the school and that causes stress and bad dreams to June. I made the poem look creepy to show that it’s more obvious June is having nightmare.

How it shows the concept: I made the dream sound darker then before it was, and I also made the background black and font creepy to show the concept is scary.

How artwork supports: The artwork is an image of demon, which represents evil and scary, which matches the fact of nightmare June is having.
