"I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious" - Albert Einstein

“The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.”- Thomas Paine

Meet Mark, an ordinary person who lives in the events of the American Revolution. Born and raised in a regular colonial town, Mark’s life was very complicated through the enactments that the British had assembled.
At the start of the revolution, Mark’s understanding in the cost of freedom was very restricted. As he endures the determination of those who fought for independence, it truly inspired him.
After attempting a couple battles, Mark was yet astonished seeing men and women who laid down their lives to bring the independence.
Will Mark keep his mindset alike, or may him realize the importance of the American Revolution?

The American Revolution promoted both continuities and changes. On one hand, inequalities still lasted in the rights of woman and as slavery continued to happen in the south. Another example would be the dominated politics wealthy landowners imposed, selling a variety of goods from faraway lands, dominating the town’s business life. Although portion of people were treated with inequalities and injustice, on the other hand, the American revolution also promoted a series of changes that developed the country, political power were in hands of ordinary men instead of the King and inheritance laws made daughters and sons can inheritable.

“Give me liberty or give me death” -Patrick Henry

“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal. . . .” “it is the great parent of science & of virtue: and that a nation will be great in both, always in proportion as it is free.” – Thomas Jefferson

The American Revolution was a significant event in history when the American colonies fought for their independence from British rule. It happened between 1765 and 1783 and was caused by several reasons. One important factor was the unfair treatment by the British government. They imposed laws and taxes on the colonists without giving them a say in the decisions. This made the colonists feel angry and treated unfairly.

They believed they should have a voice in the government and not be taxed without representation. Additionally, ideas from the Enlightenment, like the rights of individuals and the idea of freedom, influenced the colonists.

Thinkers like John Locke and Thomas Paine inspired them to question the authority of the British government. These factors, along with the strong desire for self-governance, led to the American colonies declaring independence and forming the United States of America.

The heroic murderer

wpobng by Karl

Aligned with my found poem above, the main takeaway from my poem comes from a short story, “Lather And Nothing Else” by Hernando Tellez. The protagonist(“I”) faces intentional difficulties determining wither to kill our antagonist captain Torres, or to let him live in prosper. The internal difficulty appears when our protagonist finds himself on a cross road, on one side is a crucial moment of opportunities for murder, while another beats a warm heart of a human. As explained, the exposition of the story sets on another meaningless day, when a “perfectly” normal man walked himself in a barber shop. When the story follows to the rising action, our protagonist discovers his golden opportunity for a perfect alleged excuse. The internal determination illustrates perfectly on page 4 where it magnifies the quote, “which will it be? Murderer or hero?”. At last, optimistically claiming the internal conflict of our main character turns out in a subjective way, then hopefully, the person would be able to resolve it’s conflict within the antagonist.

my cardboard arcade

our arcade is a basketball game it’s not too big and pretty thick.

you need to get 900 points on the first round to move to the second round, in the second round you need to get 1200 points, before we made this game we were planning to give them prize but when we figure out that we can’t we took the prizes home.

the biggest success we made is see the little kids laugh, skill l learn is to take time with the kid .p.s. sometimes they are sometimes a little annoying.

one thing that l think we should change is, a lot more details and more hoops or levels.

How would you survive in a flooded cave ?

All Thirteen by Christina Soontornvat is an inspiring non-fiction book that is a true story based on what happened in June 2018 at Tham Luang (cave).  The book describes the incredible true story of the Thai soccer team, the Wild Boars, and their harrowing ordeal in a flooded cave.  The book tells about different important aspects of life as well as a deep reflection on how an ethical person should handle under harsh circumstances.

One of the protagonists that has the most effect is Night; although he was very pressured into the things that he hadn’t completed, he is a clear example showing how even in a harsh situation, his spirit of survival remained.

p1 : central idea determination and hope

In the book All Thirteen, the author vividly shows how determination and hope in the face of adversity will always prevail. Despite the dark and hazardous conditions, the boys and their coach remained persistent in their desire to survive.
Throughout their ordeal, the team members demonstrated remarkable resilience and stillness. They faced hunger, exhaustion, and hypothermia, yet they refused to give up. Instead, they drew strength from one another, focusing on prayers and accompanying each other. Moreover, the book highlights the tireless efforts of the rescue team, which refused to give up. Expert divers and volunteers from different countries worked tirelessly, risking their lives, to reach the trapped boys. Their dedication and belief in the power of rescue operations are evident again. The strength of hope and determination in the face of adversity will always prevail. This feature also links into our own world. Like many successful people like Elon musk, Da Vinci and many other famous people who fail hundreds of thousands of times and yet refuse to give up, this is exactly why, with determination and hope in sight, anything is possible.

p2 : Theme: the author believes that with true passion, anyone can excel

Like mentioned in the page, Coach Ek’s parents died when he was the age of 9, and he had to go through a really harsh childhood. But as soon as he got into soccer, his passion set free, and he was dedicated to becoming a player or coach on some team. True passion has the remarkable ability to drive people towards excellence in different fields. When someone possesses a genuine love for something, it often fuels their motivation, determination, and perseverance.

p3 : central idea: cave diving should be treated with extreme caution

As mentioned in the mind map, the water in caves is often murky and filled with sediment, reducing visibility. Poor visibility can make it difficult for divers to see potential hazards, navigate safely, or find their way out. This is exactly why people die so often during panics inside of confined places such as caves

p4 : theme : the author believes that the technology in Thailand is very limited, which restricts outcomes

As mentioned again, if the Thai rescue team had more experienced rescuers, the boys would be found. Also, as mentioned on Chapter 12, page 72, the Thailand rescue team asked for support from countries like China, the UK, America, and more. This evidence shows that the rescue team in Thailand is not fully advanced and has therefore slowed down the outcomes of saving the boys.
