My Cardboard Arcade; Penalty Kick

This is my cardboard arcade, about a soccer penalty kick game. Making the game was fun, but we also met some obstacles .

When we was building the shooter, we tested it a few times but the stick keep falling off. We  first tried to break a hole inside the larger stick, and poke the stick inside. But it turned out that the large stick will break if we poke a hole in. But I came up an idea. If we wrap the hot glue around the short stick, it will give it double strength and will not break that easily. That worked out! The stick wont fly out no matter how how hard if we pull it.

Even though there were obstacles, but It also helped me develop better glue gun skill, and improved me on thinking and finding ways to solve problems even if something didn’t work. It helped me to keep going even if the thing didn’t even work. I will keep trying my best to fix and improve the thing.

Taking about improving, there are still something I want to improve on the game, the Net. At first, we thought the net is ok . It works. Put after we put it in test, we found out that it is ugly and it’s hard for the goalkeeper to see and react fast. But it was too late, we have no time to change it. So after the 4th graders come, I think this is what we will change and improve.

Overall, I think this was a success, everyone played our game and had fun. I think our game made their day better.
