One change about the revolution results in the limited access to information. The Cuban government maintained strict control of the medias and informations that will be seen by citizens in the country. Even though under Batista’s control there were not really freedom, Castro went more strict on this part.

A major continuity can be seen in the one-party government. During Batista’s period, there weren’t any opposing voices allowed. After Castro came to control, the government were controlled by Castro’s government party only. Opposing voices were not allowed, still.

The poor economy is also a major continuity. Even though Castro tried to make changes on the economy of the country, it did not work out. After the embargo done by the US, Cuba’s economy started to collapse, and it never had a chance to get up again.

Overall, the Revolution is worth it. Despite the continuities and changes that I have listed, the revolution also benefited the country. Firstly, the country is united. In a country that is not tight, a force must be implied in order to unite the country. Also, the country’s medical care and education rate rose a lot compared to time with Batista. There indeed are bad things done by the revolution, but the revolution has done more benefit. In conclusion, the Cuban revolution is worth it.
