The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater is about how the two main characters- Sasha and Richard- who are inhabited in different worlds; overcomes the bias of people around them. They first met in a consequence in bus which changed their entire life differently. This book shows how thoughtful you have to be before even judging people upon their races, class, gender, identity etc.

(1) The first central idea I came across while reading the book was you don’t have to find yourself identity. Look at my notes that shows this central idea!

(2) As I was re-reading the quote that seemed connected with my central idea, I found some that sometimes we also have to be brave of our own identity no matter how people around you thinks about it. This page proves it!

(3) I also made a connection page to make connections between ideas that at first didn’t seem to be connected. I got a idea of never let your obstacles to be bigger than your identity itself. This page shows that thinking!:

(4) In our lesson, we had to research two questions about the part of book that we wanted to know further about and this research helped me to know whether Richard did the consequence by himself or because of his friend. These are two pages that shows my second central idea.

My summary of this book is that no one has the ability to be able to judge anyone by just looking at their race, gender, identity or sexual identity etc. After reading this book, it will inspire for you to rethink about all crimes and your thinking towards people identity.
