Am I a Humanist

During the Renaissance, there were many philosophies and religions. They are fighting for their own faith and trying to assimilate other philosophies and religions. But one philosophy called humanism is doing things differently. They are trying to include everyone and strive to make the world better.

My infographic is about “Am I a Humanist?” It tells about the definition of Humanism and the different ideas and faiths of Humanism. I also included the rates of me if I am a Humanist. For example, I agree with this poster’s “education” slide. In my opinion, all people on earth should have a good education. It doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich. We should give more opportunities for all people on earth to make him/her self more useful and make more contributions to society.

A tiny drop of blood

The story is “Lather and Nothing Else” by Hernando Téllez. The most significant conflict in the story is between Barbur and himself. A feared and hated officer, Captain Torres, enters a barbershop for a shave. The barber considered taking revenge on Torres for his role in the regime’s oppressive campaign. He sees it as an opportunity to free the town from the captain’s tyranny. As the barber shaved Torres, he carefully considered his choices and the consequences of his actions, the potential repercussions, and the possibility of becoming a murderer himself. During an inner conflict, Barber realizes that violence may not be the answer. He acknowledged that everyone, including Torres, has a role in society, no matter how flawed or oppressive they may be.
The poem that I wrote talked about the inner activity of the barber. The fear of murder, and the consequences of killing this person. The artwork that I chose is a drawing of the barber.
