It Was My Phone’s Fault

In this Capstone unit, we were assigned to make a video about our UN Goal and its issue. We were also able to choose who our group members were. This video is basically about a kid who was doing something and received a message regarding having to go home, he then said he was going to be late but it didn’t send. Our issue is about telephone services and how some are low quality and this is encouraging people to donate to a service that will help support or make telephone services better. The challenge that came across making this video was how to get the perfect shot, because it took us a decent amount of attempts.

The Rebel Against a Corrupt Leader.

After the revolution, things changed and stayed the same. Things changed were Laws, where Castro made a law called the Agrarian Reform Law where multiple pieces of land were distributed to farmers to grow crops, another change was that Cuba was cut off from making trades with the U.S., because after the revolution Castro openly expressed his communist ideals. However, some things stayed the same, like Cuba kept its main crop source for making more money for the government, and the government will still have people to help run the Cuban government.

The events that accrued during the Cuban Revolution.

In this video, we talk about what happened during and after the revolution and what caused the revolution.

Background of people in the revolution.

Castro: Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was a Cuban revolutionary and politician.

Batista: Fulgencio Batista y Zaldívar was a Cuban military officer and politician who served as the elected president of Cuba.

This Revolution was caused by how Batista abused his power, ending an election and forcefully becoming Cuba’s president. During this election, a person who was in it was named Castro. Castro hated how Batista abused his power which caused Castro to lead a group to a barracks military base.

What’s Google’s history? Google It.

The book, Google It, by Anna Redding, tells how two Stanford students created a thesis topic that became one of the most successful search engines. In 1996, at Stanford University Google was launched. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were Frenemies at first sight who had a lot in common and then became best of friends. Throughout their journey, they encounter challenges and problems with their families and financial challenges. At the start of their journey, the two Stanford college students had a big idea. In this book, the central idea is that good ideas and hard work can lead to success. When I read this book, I could see how good ideas can lead to success. What I liked about my book was how they went from nothing to something.

In the book the creators of Google have ideas and by creating those ideas they all had an effect. I chose this page to show how each cause had an effect on the company and how some had a great effect. As you can see in the photo below:

Google’s work productivity is amazing and I chose this page to show why it was so productive they made all their workers have a happy and safe setting and environment around them and Google HQ added things people like and enjoy. As you can see in the photo below:

The first central idea I found in my book was: Good ideas and hard work can lead to success. (But then I changed it to Good ideas can lead to success) As you can see more of my ideas in the photo down here:

With Google being very successful they had to come across challenges, so on this page, I showed how with their success they also had to have so many risks in the process. As you can see in the photo below:

Thanks for reading my Blog post and I hope you found interest in reading this book. If you want to read the book and look more into the author here’s a link for both, Google It, Anna Redding.

The Choice to kill

The Found Poem above was taken from page 4 of the book “Lather and Nothing Else” by Hernando Tellez. It shows the man versus himself between Barber, the protagonist, and the choice to kill the rebel leader Torres. In the rising action of the story, this conflict illustrates the Barber’s struggle to make the choice of cutting Torres’s beard, or killing him and becoming the village hero. In this passage, the Barber comes across reasons why he shouldn’t kill him and not become the hero of the village, not have to run away and leave everything behind, and not be killed by the rebels. He didn’t kill Torres because he knows “And I do my work honorably” (Barber page 4). Hopefully, this conflict with himself won’t happen again because it’s not easy to kill someone when they’re in a variable state.

Sewable Electronics Oliver

My Journey through my Sewable Electronics.

For my pin design i thought it would be fun by making the pin related to Electronics.

When I got my feedback that was about size like how big and what is it’s diameter and then made the size reasonable.

Then I choose the Apple logo. (I don’t have the photo of what the apple logo looks like when it was made). I changed the top of the apple logo from the leaf just to the LED. The Process was hard but over the time my growth in technical and design skills got better over time.

For My String backpack I wanted to go for a game design I made 2 game logo but for the car i had to remove because it would be a long time to cut.

Then for Day 1 I added the CPX with a censer. For Day 2 I added the Pac man Blue ghost, Then for day 3 I added the second, Then For Day 4 I added the LEDS for the ghost, Then For the last day I added the last LEDS for the little gold orb.

Reflecting on My Projects I think I could’ve spent more time on the design and put in a little bit more effort.

Welcome to Your New Blog!

When you blog you create posts and posts are categorised according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you. If you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category.
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This can include text, images, embedded videos from Dragons’ Tube or elsewhere. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
