My title is “people and light” I am experimenting with how light impacts people, as it changes their mood, helps express feelings and can lend true importance to simple moments. I aim to show how light shapes human features, bodies and surroundings, no matter if I have natural or artificial light. Light gives me a chance to illustrate various emotions, distinctions and stories in my images. At times, the light will make your photos feel peaceful, and in other cases, it will make them dramatic. Every picture will highlight a person or individuals, and the way light is used shapes how the subject comes across. The camera I will use is phone and I will take photos under golden hour, soft window light, from close to streetlights, and in the shadows. There will be some black and white images that put light and contrast first, and some pictures will remain in color to highlight warmth and feelings. I draw inspiration from photographers such as Brandon Woelfel, who use light in special ways to highlight what a person feels and thinks. The final set will show between 6 and 10 images, in print or projected as a slideshow, reflecting how light connects us to the people and their stories.
