In Born A Crime, there is a character called Trevor Noah. And he fights for power while explaning the history in the book. One central idea or theme in the book Born A Crime, is that race or identity does not shape how you are treated in society. For example, in chapter 13, it said that the police wanted to shut down the music that Trevor was making, so he was shutting it down. But the police didn’t care due to his color and where the police is white. Therefore, Trevor feels pressured and thinks that white people should treat other colored people the same. In addition to being treated fairly, there is also people using education and religions to fight through racists.
