This found poem was made by Hernando Tellez. in the story “lather and nothing else”. the best barber in town sees captain Torres looking for a shave. the cut outs are supposed to be the details of how he has to be careful with Torres or he will be killed like the rest of his people since he is a revolutionary but keeps a low profile. the mood changes when he gets nervous with shaving Torres beard because he has to keep it from having pearls of blood on Torres neck and he’s thinking about the times that the normal people have gotten killed constantly.
