Lost in the Antarctic by Tod Olson is a book about Shakleton and his crew going on the “Last Great Adventure” to Antarctica. The story also progresses with a lot of plot twists and surprises in the adventure. In this notebook page, I summarized the two central ideas and put one piece of evidence for each central idea.
As I got more into the book, I started finding a lot more evidence strengthening the first central idea (Antarctica is a dangerous inhabitable space). In the next notebook page are the evidence that I found further into the book.
After I started reading more I noticed that Shakleton had a lot of traits like dedication, so I started writing down the evidence for the two traits that I found. The book also contained moments of motivation, so I wrote the evidence for it as well.
Since I got into the book even more, I started noticing some connections throughout the book connected to different issues. So I listed the two quotes from the book that makes connections.
I highly recommend this book, because of the strong emotions and a lot of surprises. The book also has a very interesting storyline with a lot of detail to really show the setting.
