Lost in the Humanities

My book club book is “Lost in the Antarctic” by Tod Olson, it’s a ship Endurance to join famed explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew who must battle the frigid Antarctic elements to survive being stranded at the edge of the world. There wasn’t a thing Ernest Shackleton could do.

my notebook page order: Summative Mind map for connections to Central idea, Cause+Effect page,  Making Connection page and My 1# and 2# Central idea.

Summative Mind map: My Central idea is related to Survival and Resilience, there’s all evidences and quotes I red from the book in between page 30-60. I’ve picked this Central idea because this book is mainly about Shackleton and his team trying to survive from low-temp Antarctic with food running out and Noble creature’s hunted what their facing with all these challenges and everything.

Cause+Effect notebook page: The theme of survival runs through the entire book, which is also a reason why survival has gradually become a difficult problem in the various challenges and other problems we encounter. They gave up a lot of things, but still risked their lives to complete this lost journey in Antarctica.

Making Connection: In reality, we don’t have anything to connect with Antarctica, but this book gives us this experience so that we can better understand Antarctica, survival and adventure. This can also be a new experience (since we’re not Shackleton)

1 and 2 Central idea: This is my first page. Although I made some changes later, I initially thought that the central point should be about teamwork and perseverance. But as time went on, these themes gradually became less and less, and the keyword “survival” took place.

This book may be a little more boring than expected (because it is basically the story of Shackleton and his team’s survival in Antarctica), but it also gives us a lot of new experiences and knowledge, so it is highly recommended for those who like adventure and survival books.

Story on MYYYYYYY side :)

My poem is about “My side of the story” by Adam Bagdasarian, its about the conflict between narrator and it’s brother with the scotch tape. The type of conflict in this story is an Internal such as P vs. P (Person vs. Person), narrator’s brother stuck scotch tape on it’s head for the same reason, they tried to fix it up together, but it just gets worse. The “Justice” popped in his mind (yeah, narrator’s mom)

Cardboard Arcade Reflection :D

Our project is “Genshin Tetris (Puzzle)” also our blocks were 3D.

I leaned that how to make a pressure mechanism (even though it fail:I ) and how to make a Cardboard game even though that we only have time for only 5 block. So me and my partner decided to make double-side blocks and the player only needs to finish one side.
