Born a Crime by Trevor Noah, history of apartheid in South Africa, and his childhood. Autobiography.
- In the first notebook page, I wrote about what efferent is. I included examples from the book, and the definition efferent. Also on page 2 I did the same thing but with aesthetic, this way it’s easy to understand more after you write about it. On the 3rd page (page 16 of notebook), I did the extension and wrote 2 examples from the book and changed their POV. Finally, on page 11 of the notebook, I wrote about who Trevor Noah is. Although this isn’t one of my best notebook pages, I spent a lot of time researching what Trevor Noah has accomplished, and what his childhood was like.
- The book is an autobiography about Trevor Noahs childhood life, and how he grew up. It includes things like, where he went to school, how kids treated him, specific historical events, and mainly, apartheid in South Africa.
- 2 central ideas that are very clear in this book are, resilience & humor and identity & race. These show up in every page of the book, no matter he is describing something, sharing about his past, or the history of apartheid, his humor and resilience and humor shows. As well as, the fact that racism was the main topic of the book, and he struggled with that making it add onto his identity.
