In the story “My Side of the Story”, by Adam Bagdasarian there is a young boy named Adam, who has an older brother. His older brother, Skip, loved to push him around. One day Skip put scotch tape on Adams head, which brought him into a dilemma. He went to tattle on Skip to his mother but then he found his father. Then things started to escalate and he questioned everything. An example of this is on page 2 where Adam walks into his moms room and sees his dad. “When I reached my mother, I saw the door was closed. I threw open the door screaming. Then i realized I was talking to my father, and all the color drained from my face.”, this shows how scared he was scared of his father, that is why he was going to his mother.
There are many reasons why I decorated my poem the way I did. One is that the story is based off scotch tape, so I blacked out every un-needed word with scotch tape. I also highlighted the useful words that way they are easier to see.
