In Born a Crime, Trevor Noah talks about his life growing up in South Africa during apartheid, which was a time when people were separated by race. Trevor’s mom was black, and his dad was white, so his very existence was illegal. This made his childhood really complicated and different from most kids. His mom, Patricia, was super strong and brave. She raised him to be independent and taught him how to survive in a tough world.Trevor didn’t fit in anywhere because he wasn’t fully black or fully white, so he struggled with figuring out where he belonged. He learned to speak a bunch of languages to connect with different people and used humor to make friends and get through tough situations. Even though he got into trouble sometimes—like selling pirated CDs—he always found a way to keep going. His family life wasn’t easy either. His stepdad, Abel, was abusive, and Trevor saw his mom go through a lot of pain. But even with all the challenges, Trevor stayed positive and eventually found his passion for comedy. The book is funny but also really serious at times. It’s about love, family, and finding who you are, even when life feels impossible
this is a summery of a black person who had lived in S.A and had experienced aparthied from a young age. we also learned that there were places with amazing beaches, cars, villas but the problem is that mainly white people lived in the villas and had exotic cars, the black people mainly lived in shanty houses in the suberbs.
the structure of the book is baised on these pages and how the author of the book (Trever Noah) based the 3 parts of the book on his mothers experience, then his experience, and the last part was mainly about his mother and his own love for each other
Trever Noah was born to a white father and black mother which was at that time against the law .
He faced many difficulties growing up as a mixed child amung black and white people, during aparthied black people and white people were sepperated to different  areas based on thier race which made trvers childhood very hard.
we learned that power takes a huge place in S.A during aparthied as there were many stages of power.
There are 6 sorces of power
1: Physical force
2: Wealth
3 : State of action
4 : Social Norms
5: Ideas
6: Numbers
These sources of power also are also affected by the 3 laws of power
1: Power of never state
2:  Power is like water
3: Power compounds
We learned that all these sources of power affect everyone especially people living in S.A during aparthied power was the most important thing that affects people .
