Unbroken notebook

The Book that I read was “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. In this book, Louie- the main character was a olympic champion and he was about to have the final competetion to rech his dream. Unforcenly, war smashes everyone over and destroys all the plans. Louie was forced to became a solider and give his life for the contry. The main social issues are War. Because of WW2 Louie’s friend unfortunately passed away and also make Louie almost died. When your reading the book the Autor put you in the character’s perspective and not been able to let the reader put the book down.

The picture of my notebook shows some idea when I was going throw the book with by book club. This is the first page of the notebook. In this part I had include basic information about our book when we started and furthermore there’s the central idea that I wrought down when I finish each part of the book. I was by inspired by part 2, The author describes the scene very realistic the emotions that Louie has very straight forward.

This part of my notebook is about the CER town hall prepare, I wrote all my ideas and the quote inside the note. Which also include the story that’s in part one and interduce the childhood of Louie.

In this part I include the cause and effect from our book club. For example, Beijing Traffic is always a big problem the cause from it links to the effect. I use the same grid to label the cause and effect for unbroken.

This page of my notebook included the main issues in my book which is War. I found some quote from unbroken that can support my idea and making connections.

This poem was created by the words from the story, lamb of a slaughter, written by Roald Dahl. In this exciting story, Mary Maloney is the main character , and she’s a housewife who always takes care of her husband. Even she tried her best to make everything well-organized, but her husband still decided to leave her(external conflict). This decision made her very mad which caused Mary to kill her husband with a lamb leg. Mary tried to protect the unborn child and made up a plan that can fool the police. My poem basically focuses on the part when the police was trying to figure out who’s the murder. Mary was always around them, but they just couldn’t find out. This poem emphasizes  a people vs people conflict which is mainly based on the plot that Mary tried to lie to the police. In the last part, I added “Marry begin to giggle”, as I don’t want to spoil the story and tell the audience the true murder.
