“American Revolution, also called United States War of Independence or American Revolutionary War, (1775–83), insurrection by which 13 of Great Britain’s North American colonies won political independence and went on to form the United States of America.”

After the Treaty of Paris in 1763 which is solved the French and Indian War and Seven Years’ War, revolution is occurred. There is uncountable act such as sugar act, stamp act, declaratory act, tea act, and Townshend Act. Thirteen of Britain’s North American colonies ignored British rule to found a sovereign United States. This revolution is one of the most important revolutions to Americans be liberty. Americans fought a long rebellion and war of about eight years to become independent from England, and eventually officially became independent in 1783. The American Revolution was the longest military conflict in the United States before the Vietnam War. Charles Cornwallis did not turn himself in Yorktown, but rather sent his agent Charles O’Hara on the grounds of illness. About 5,000 continental troops were black, accounting for 5% of the total troops.
