The book that our group were reading is Ten Days A Mad Woman.

A girl named Nellie, she is 23 years old living in a small house in a small town. In chapter five, she lied to the judge and the doctor that she is insane and as a result being put inside the Madhouse. And that lead to to stories and chapters later. Her purpose of going in the Madhouse id that she wanted to investigate how those patients are treated and collect evidence so she can report about the Madhouse and the staff. The settings were mainly in the environment of Women Discriminations. I think the author of this book was trying to let us know more about that time period and the importance of finding a job that time and how hard is it. The Theme is discriminations among women and those patients that are in the mad house that are being abused by the staff. The statement is very bad for women, but today, women are working mostly for educational jobs which means that they can be a teacher and stuff. So The discrimination disappeared in modern days, and it is no longer a big deal right now.

Internal conflict

In the passage Thank You M’am, the boy wants to steal the women’s purse, but the woman saw that. At that time the boy wants to get the purse, but he can’t because the women already saw it and knew what is he going to do next. The boy’s embarrassing and getting the purse is a conflict, because getting the purse is like stealing. And also, after the women saw that the boy is going to steal it, the women told the boy not to steal things again, and the boy wants change his mind, now the internal conflict happens right here, where the boy wants to steal things before, but after the speak of the old women, he began to change his mind.

Evidence: ‘’She was walking alone, when a boy ran up behind her and tried to snatch her purse.’’

“Then she reached down, picked the boy up by his shirt front, and shook him until his teeth rattled.’’ From here we can see that the women already had captured the boy and lift him up in the air. In the back of the passage, the old women shows the boy not to steal things by grabbing many things like food .

The “Cloth Chopstick”

As you can see, in the picture there is a chopstick with cloth. It was designed for opened Sushi, it can solve the problem of sushi falling down from chopsticks. Firstly, people may want to use the cloth part as a spoon to hold sushi.(Avoid sushi falling apart) Secondly, you can also use it like a normal chopstick by turning the “Cloth chopstick” upside down. Finally, it will be only used one time, (When people are eating with it) but you can also wash it if you want to use it again. (Picture below)`

The “Heating Cup”

It was a cup that you put either fries and water in it to keep them warm(Hot or Cold) There is a heating pad inside the cup, there is also a button outside. You can change the temperature of the heating pad to control the temperature inside the cup. Finally, there is a handle on the cap, to let it be easier to opened the cup with out touching the cap.

My greatest success was having my both design done. Because it worked really hard in it. If there is something bad I will try my best to fix it.

My greatest obstacle was to make the handle of the cup very hard and not falling down or move.

Skills I learn is that when you were sticking something to the product, you can use other piece of car-board(Stick on it) to make the part more stabled.

I learn about myself is that I can make the design very neat if I worked hard in it.

I’d like to make my prototype more detailed, and colored, that will be much more beautiful than before.

Over all, I think my prototype isn’t success because l didn’t add color to it.

I design a chair like this because this chair can let human and cat be together. In the picture, the hole is for the cat to walk through. They could sleep inside the hole. People sits on top of the chair, so there is cats down there in the hole and human sitting at the top. There are also two pet bows inside the chair for pets to eat and drink. The two thing on the top of the chair is for decoration. The width is 40cm. hight is 70cm and the length of 40cm for human and cat chair.

I create a basketball shooting game because i was thinking that a basketball shooting game might be very fun. If i can do it again i would like to add decorations, because game seems to ugly without decorations on it. It also have benefits on grabbing attention.
