Can you ever imagine what happened? From being a colony sent from Britain to now being one of the world’s most influential country? This video explains how Americans became independent (happened between 1775 and 1783). It all started after Chistopher Colombus found the land and the British and French fought for 7 years. to decide who was the owner. The British sent colonies to America called colonials and after the British won they stayed in America. The British were now broke and  kept forcing acts on the colonies but the colonials got tired of it and started a rebellion. This rebellion contained lots and lots of wars between the British and the Americans(main wars like the battle of Lexington and Concord and Crossing the Delaware). During these wars, major events like the First Continental congress  and the Second Continental Congress happened(which played key in uniting the colonies against Britain) .Overall, the Americans won and the Treaty of Paris was signed in September 3rd 1783, officially declaring that the United States is an independent nation!
